Practice yoga because it will change your life! Practice yoga because it will teach you about yourself. Practice yoga because when you know more about yourself you will learn how to thrive in the face of challenges, how to manage your own stress, and how to find comfort in what others would consider uncomfortable because they have not yet learned to be a master of their own life. Practice yoga because when you are a master of your own life you gain the capacity to wake up to the beauty that is in you and all around you.

Now you might say that I don’t know what I’m talking about, you might look around and see ugliness, you might experience hate, you maybe think you hate yourself, your life, and have anger towards those in your family, your society, your government. The way you experience the world around you is determined by the way you manage the world inside of you. When you practice yoga, the chaos does not disappear, you do not stop feeling pain, or sorrow. Some may become “enlightened” but even they are not exempt from the pain that comes with being in a human body. When you practice yoga people around you will still die, you will too eventually die.

So what’s the point then? If I will still have pain, and I will still die and people around me will still die, and the government will still be corrupt, why should I then practice yoga?

…Practice yoga because it will change YOUR life. Practice yoga because when YOU are a master of YOUR OWN LIFE, YOU GAIN the capacity to wake up to the BEAUTY that is in you and all around you, the BEAUTY that you cannot see now because you are so focused on the ugly. If you do not train yourself to see the good you will only see the bad. If you don’t not train yourself to experience life’s love, you will only experience life’s fear. Yoga will not undo your experiences, it will not make you forget what you already know, but it will EXPAND that knowledge into a more complete picture. A more balanced image. It will help you discover a more abundant YOU!
